Provider. Advocate. Educator. A dental hygienist has an integral role in helping patients achieve their best oral health. • Provide dental prophylaxis and periodontal treatments
• Screen patients’ periodontal health
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques 
• Perform oral cancer screenings
• Identify malocclusion and educate patients about potential impacts

• Either an active state hygiene license or eligibility to become licensed
• A current CPR certification
