Smile Brands is a dominant player in the dental space and we are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Group. This unique individual will be responsible for a number of general accounting duties including but not limited to Bank Account Reconciliations and General Ledger Account Reconciliations and Analysis. The potential candidate will be responsible for preparing a basic set of financial statements each month. They will review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents, and reports.

• Assist in the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
• Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures
• Assist in the preparation for audits and respond to auditor inquiries as needed
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting processes and enhance efficiency
• Stay up-to-date with accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance

• Advance Excel experience (Vlookups, Pivot tables, & Formulas - if, sumif, sumifs, etc.
• 3-5 Years related experience as Staff Accountant
• Bachelor’s degree (Finance/Accounting)
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and financial reports
• Able to deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events.

• Microsoft 365 experience
• Remote / work from home experience
• 5+ years accounting experience
• Advanced Microsoft Access experience
